Terms of Service

The short version. Prompt2Score is free, has no account, and the music you create is yours. It is provided as it is, with no warranty. Check a score before handing it to musicians.
1. The service
Prompt2Score is a ChatGPT app operated by Granite Labs. It turns requests in plain language into engraved musical scores and offers them as MusicXML, MIDI, SVG, PNG and PDF.
It is an independent product built on OpenAI’s platforms. It is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI’s terms, not these.
2. The music you create is yours
Granite Labs claims no rights over the scores you produce with Prompt2Score. You may use them for anything, including commercially.
One thing to be aware of, stated plainly: the music is composed by a language model. We cannot guarantee that a given passage does not resemble an existing work. If you intend to publish or sell it, that check is yours to make.
3. Price and fair use
The app is free and requires no account. Fair-use limits apply per user so that the service stays available: a cap on scores and revisions per month, on score size, and on request rate. If you hit one, the app says so and tells you what the limit is.
These limits may change as we learn what normal use looks like. Should a paid plan ever exist, it will be announced here first and will not remove what is currently free without notice.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- work around the fair-use limits by automation or by rotating identities
- attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the service
- use it to produce material that is illegal where you are
- resell access to it without a written agreement
Rate limits, score size caps and render timeouts are not penalties: they are what keeps the service working for everyone.
5. Availability
No uptime is guaranteed. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, and individual features may be temporarily unavailable — PDF export in particular depends on an optional component. When something is unavailable the app says so and the other formats keep working.
6. Warranty and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Granite Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. As the service is free, no monetary cap applies because no money changes hands.
We do not warrant that a score is fit for a particular purpose or free of notation errors. The validator catches a great deal — measures that do not add up, unresolved ties, out-of-range notes — but it does not catch everything, and it cannot judge whether the music is any good. Read a score before putting it in front of musicians.
7. Your data
Covered by the privacy policy. In short: no account, no stored scores, and we never see your conversation.
8. Changes and contact
Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.

9. Governing law
Granite Labs is operated from Thailand. These terms are governed by Thai law, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
